The first step toward freedom is to realize that when a believer has an addiction, it is not merely that individual’s personal problem. The instruction of Galatians 6:1 is clear: “If a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one.” That restoration will involve understanding and applying a series of powerful truths that are explained in this book. God promises that “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).
